Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Practice Nurse to join our team at Manchester Road Surgery. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing services to our patients, working closely with our GPs and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by GP Partners.
  • Conduct cytology and urinalysis tests.
  • Provide travel clinic services and administer vaccinations.
  • Manage hypertension and asthma cases.
  • Chaperone and assist patients during examinations.
  • Request pathology tests and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in administrative systems and attend practice meetings.
Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Experience of working in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and The Scope of Professional Practice.
    • Valid Nursing Pin.
    • Experience of working as a Practice Nurse in a primary care setting.
    • Experience of dealing with the public/patients.
    • Experience of long term condition management, Diabetes, COPD, Asthma.
  • Desirable:
    • Emis Web Experienced user.
    • Experience of working in GP Practice.
Requirements
  • Current NMC registration.
  • Registered General Nurse, recognised qualification to diploma level or above.
  • A demonstrable commitment to continued professional development.
  • Cervical cytology training/qualification.
  • Child imms.
