About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Building Fabric Manager to join our client's team in the rail sector. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of fabric maintenance services across multiple rail stations in the South of England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage the delivery of fabric maintenance services, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of fabric maintenance technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure all work meets industry standards and client expectations.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction through regular communication and feedback.
  • Coordinate the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, including maintenance schedules, progress reports, and incident logs, providing regular updates to senior management and the client.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a building fabric management or Facilities Management role, ideally within the rail sector.
  • Strong knowledge of building fabric maintenance practices, materials, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and reporting tools.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively across the South of England.
  • PTS certification would be a plus.
