We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises.
About the RoleAs a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing clinical risk assessments, contingency planning, and short-term interventions to individuals presenting with mental health crises. You will work closely with other mental health services and agencies, including the police, ambulance, and local authority, to ensure seamless care and support.
You will also act as a shift lead, coordinating service delivery, prioritizing workload, and providing clinical advice to junior staff. Additionally, you will participate in risk management and professional meetings, contribute to training programs, and lead on investigations for complaints and complex cases.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical risk assessments and contingency planning for individuals presenting with mental health crises
- Work closely with other mental health services and agencies to ensure seamless care and support
- Act as a shift lead, coordinating service delivery and prioritizing workload
- Provide clinical advice to junior staff and participate in risk management and professional meetings
- Contribute to training programs and lead on investigations for complaints and complex cases
- Degree in Healthcare or relevant area, supplemented by post-graduate qualification or specialist training
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Mentorship qualification or equivalent experience
- Medical/non-medical prescribing
- Teaching (clinical practice) qualification/certificate or equivalent experience
