CK Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Coordinator to join a leading chemicals manufacturing organization, focusing on innovative polymer and resin solutions.

About the Company:
Our client is a renowned manufacturer with a strong reputation in the polymer and resin industry. They are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to become part of their dynamic team. In this position, you will report directly to the Chemical Process Safety Manager and will be responsible for overseeing mechanical projects from inception to completion, including proposal generation and goal establishment.

Location:
This position is based at the company's facility, conveniently located for easy access from various surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing all project phases, including engineering design, procurement, planning, installation, and evaluation.
  • Creating designs to address specific challenges, including developing equipment specifications.
  • Formulating a comprehensive project plan that outlines requirements, costs, and timelines.
  • Identifying and managing necessary resources, which may involve coordinating with external contractors.
  • Recognizing and mitigating potential project risks, including participating in risk assessments as required.
  • Analyzing tasks related to the project schedule.
  • Contributing to the verification and approval of designs.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Creating and/or updating engineering drawings as necessary, such as isometric diagrams.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical project management within the chemical manufacturing sector.
  • A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline, such as mechanical engineering.
  • Technical proficiency in mechanical design and maintenance of equipment, including agitators, reactors, and pumps.
  • Solid understanding of agitated semi-batch reactors.
  • Familiarity with management systems such as Permit-to-Work, Management of Change, and Lockout Tagout.
  • Experience with plant maintenance systems is preferred.
  • Experience on a COMAH site is a plus.
