CK Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join a leading organization in the chemicals manufacturing sector on a full-time, permanent basis.

This position requires an experienced Mechanical Engineer to become a vital part of the team. Reporting to the Chemical Process Safety Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing mechanical projects, as well as developing proposals and setting project objectives.

The organization provides a competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with 25 days of annual leave, pension contributions, and healthcare benefits.


Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Project Engineer:
  • Oversee all stages of projects, including engineering design, procurement, planning, installation, and evaluation.
  • Formulate a comprehensive plan for each project that outlines its requirements, budget, and timelines.
  • Identify, plan, and manage necessary resources, which may involve external contractors.
  • Recognize and mitigate potential risks associated with the project, including participating in risk assessments as required.
  • Analyze tasks in relation to the project schedule.
  • Create and/or revise engineering drawings as necessary, including isometric drawings.

Essential qualifications include proven industry experience in a mechanical project management capacity within the chemicals manufacturing field. A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline, such as mechanical engineering, is also required. Technical proficiency in mechanical design and maintenance of equipment, including agitators, reactors, and pumps, is essential.
