CK Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Coordinator to join a leading specialist in polymer and resin production. This role is integral to our operations, focusing on the management of mechanical projects within the chemical manufacturing sector.

About the Company:
Our client is a reputable and award-winning manufacturer known for its innovative polymer and resin solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chemical Process Safety Manager to oversee the planning and execution of mechanical projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing all stages of project development, including design, procurement, planning, and implementation.
  • Creating engineering designs to address specific challenges, including equipment specifications.
  • Formulating comprehensive project plans that outline requirements, costs, and timelines.
  • Identifying and managing necessary resources, including potential external contractors.
  • Assessing and mitigating project risks, including participation in risk assessments as required.
  • Analyzing project schedules and tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Contributing to the verification and approval of engineering designs.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Updating and creating engineering drawings, such as isometric diagrams, as necessary.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical project management within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, such as mechanical engineering.
  • Technical expertise in the design and maintenance of mechanical equipment, including agitators, reactors, and pumps.
  • A solid understanding of agitated semi-batch reactors.
  • Familiarity with management systems, including Permit-to-Work, Management of Change, and Lockout Tagout.
  • Experience with plant maintenance systems is preferred.
  • Previous experience on a COMAH site is advantageous.
