London, Greater London, United Kingdom EA First Full time

The Director of Enterprise Project Management Office will play a pivotal role in overseeing significant capital expenditure, construction, and IT initiatives. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is ideal for a professional experienced in managing numerous projects across various locations while driving change and growth strategies. We seek an individual with a strong background in PMO functions within multi-site organizations, as finding the right candidate is crucial to our organizational growth objectives.

This international firm is expanding into new markets and is undertaking a comprehensive ERP upgrade across more than 20 locations.

The EPMO Director will establish a cohesive link between strategic planning, execution, and performance measurement. You will ensure that all assignments align with the organization's overarching goals, rather than focusing on isolated projects. This role will standardize project management practices, reporting, and data handling, creating consistent records that facilitate informed decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish a unified platform for all project plans, communications, and resources, ensuring accurate scheduling of phases and tasks.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks through precise timelines, budgeting, and visual management tools.
  • Allocate resources effectively, allowing for contingencies to manage unexpected challenges without derailing the project.
  • Develop templates from successful recurring projects to streamline future planning efforts.
  • Create a centralized repository for all project-related documentation, including onboarding forms, meeting notes, and marketing materials.
  • Design workflows and processes that enhance employee efficiency.
  • Plan and outline the scope, objectives, deliverables, necessary resources, work plans, budgets, and timelines for new initiatives, ensuring alignment with company priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize return on investment and ensure all stakeholders are aligned with project requirements and schedules.
  • Conduct planning sessions on a quarterly and annual basis for programs, focusing on goals, outcome metrics (KPIs), sequencing, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Identify essential requirements from cross-functional teams and external partners as needed.
  • Assess, manage, and address program risks, producing reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders.
  • Establish and implement effective communication plans for projects.
  • Facilitate change requests, ensuring all parties are aware of the implications on timelines and budgets.
  • Maintain discipline within teams and hold them accountable for staying focused and executing the project plan.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in a similar EPMO capacity, having built high-performing teams and managed multiple projects across diverse disciplines while engaging with various stakeholders. Familiarity with large capital expenditure projects and IT programs is essential.

Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package offered.

EA First Ltd operates as an Employment Agency for this permanent position.
