Role Overview

As a Technical Systems Analyst, your contributions will be valued from day one.

This position is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Business Systems & Change team, focusing on delivering technical analysis, configuration, support, and associated management information.

Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining operational services for both the business and its members.

Key Responsibilities

In this essential role within the IT department, you will be tasked with:

  • Ensuring that operational services are delivered according to established standards and service level agreements, with support available during agreed business hours.
  • Facilitating the timely execution of audit actions and IT risk mitigations.
  • Adhering to and contributing to business applications policies, standards, and audits.
  • Offering technical guidance during projects within the IT and group transformation portfolio.
  • Assisting in issue management and problem resolution for all supported business systems.
  • Providing ongoing support for the scheme's digital solutions in collaboration with third-party providers.
  • Ensuring compliance with all technical systems support activities as outlined in support models for group Business Systems.
  • Contributing to management information and outputs related to supported business systems.
  • Building and nurturing relationships within the business for effective system support.
  • Managing and addressing technical support calls in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Ensuring knowledge and skills are shared within the technical systems support team.
  • Delivering application support across all business systems within the technical systems support framework.
  • Supporting mandatory and requested system changes within established timeframes and quality standards.
  • Taking ownership of resolving group business systems support calls and incidents, including collaboration with third-party suppliers.
  • Providing guidance in issue management and problem resolution, including development and support for necessary system changes.

  • Previous experience and knowledge of pension processes and relevant legislation.
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on customer service and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Established technical expertise in application systems.
  • Experience working collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience engaging with third-party companies or suppliers.
  • Preferably, familiarity with Azure Application Insights (APM) and basic Azure API.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, visual, presentational, and verbal), with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
