About the Role

Pearson is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Examiner to join our team of assessment specialists. As a Principal Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our GCSE Portuguese assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of assessment strategies for GCSE Portuguese
  • Oversee the standardisation of examiners and ensure that assessment standards are maintained
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and review assessment materials
  • Provide guidance and support to examiners and other stakeholders on assessment procedures and policies
  • Contribute to the development of assessment policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the integrity of our assessments
Requirements
  • Proven experience in assessment and quality assurance, preferably in a regulated industry
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts and other stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of assessment policies and procedures, including quality assurance and moderation
