Job Summary:
BMR Solutions is seeking an experienced Development Engineer to join our team in North Somerset. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for defining and refining product requirements, managing the product roadmap, and overseeing the development process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in HAZOP/DFMEA studies to identify potential risks and hazards.
- Conduct record risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform type testing and compliance testing of designs, including design of experiment.
- Design and develop all mechanical aspects of a product range and participate in design reviews.
- Evaluate and escalate any technical risks to the senior development engineer.
- Perform engineering calculations and undertake medium to complex FEAs in support of the design.
Requirements:
- A minimum 2:2 Engineering degree or demonstrated industry experience with other engineering qualifications.
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical design concepts and system testing.
- Proficiency in product development methodologies, including requirements gathering, design, validation, and manufacturing transition.
- Experience with system characterisation, testing, and failure analysis techniques.
