Job Title: Product Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at Hydro International. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and undertaking research and product development projects, as well as other technical projects assigned by the Group Technical Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct theoretical and desktop research to develop new product concepts and conduct feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality.
  • Investigate and evaluate existing technologies and undertake assigned project activities from the Product Development Programme.
  • Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of the research and development activities and provide update reports.
  • Undertake laboratory scale model development and testing, maintenance, and calibration of test rigs, instruments, measuring equipment, etc.
  • Prototype work/field testing and verification, validation, and demonstration of products and concepts.
  • Write and present technical reports, posters, conference papers, etc., and disseminate outputs of Product Development activities.
  • Work cross-functionally with other colleagues and teams to develop products.
  • Provide technical support to business units as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree, HND, or HNC, or any relevant qualification, preferably in the field of Engineering/Civil Engineering.
  • Theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for technical project work, especially in product development and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in laboratory testing procedures, as well as the ability to analyze and present data systematically.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
