Position Summary

Antarctica Asset Management is in search of a skilled and innovative Vice President of Operations to join our executive leadership team. The VP of Operations will be instrumental in managing the company's daily functions and procedures. This role requires a proactive leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, strong business insight, and a commitment to ethical practices. As a vital member of the senior management team, the VP will oversee various operational aspects globally, with the primary goal of ensuring operational efficiency and fostering sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the firm and the activities of executives across Technology, Business Development, Research, Finance, Operations, and other divisions.
  • Strategic Development: Collaborate with the CEO in formulating and executing the company's strategic objectives and goals.
  • Process Optimization: Design and implement operational frameworks, establish policies that reinforce company culture and vision, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Performance Enhancement: Inspire employees to achieve peak performance and commitment, regularly assess the effectiveness of operational procedures in line with organizational goals, and implement enhancements.
  • Resource Management: Supervise resource distribution and budgeting to ensure all departments are equipped to meet their objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Promote effective communication and teamwork across all departments.
  • Innovation and Technology Integration: Partner with the Technology team to harness technological advancements that enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation. Ensure alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives and stay informed on industry trends to maintain competitiveness.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and implement performance indicators to assess and enhance organizational effectiveness, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Reporting: Deliver regular operational updates to the CEO and other executive team members.

Qualifications

  • Experience: At least 10 years in a senior management capacity within the financial services sector, ideally in asset management or hedge fund solutions.
  • Leadership in Programs: Proven track record in steering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives to achieve desired results while effectively managing associated risks.
  • Strategic Insight: Demonstrated expertise in strategic leadership, executive communication, organizational agility, cross-department collaboration, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Consultative Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and the Technology team to align and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Organizational Proficiency: Exceptional organizational capabilities, with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technical Acumen (preferred but not mandatory): Familiarity with technology and its application in enhancing operational efficiency and driving innovation.
