About the Role
The Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our HIV Mental Health Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing expert care and support to patients living with HIV.
Main Responsibilities
- Offer comprehensive assessment and treatment to patients with mental health disorders related to their HIV diagnosis.
- Liaise and consult with referrers, including the HIV clinical team, to ensure seamless care coordination and support.
- Contribute to care planning, risk management, and treatment of patients alongside the wider HIV mental health team.
- Collaborate with other psychiatric and mental health services to support patients with complex difficulties.
- Participate in the strategic development of mental health support for HIV patients and contribute to initiatives aimed at reducing stigma and improving outcomes.
