About the Role

The Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in a part-time outpatient role. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in HIV, you will be responsible for providing assessment and brief interventions to patients with mental health disorders related to their HIV diagnosis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and provide treatment plans for patients with complex mental health disorders associated with HIV.
  • Liaise and consult with the HIV clinical team to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Collaborate with the HIV mental health team to provide joint assessments and consultations.
  • Develop and implement care plans to manage risk and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Work closely with other psychiatric and mental health services to support patients with complex difficulties.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of mental health support for HIV patients and collaborate with the HIV mental health team psychologists.
