Lead Care Support Specialist

- Competitive Salary: £13.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
- Flexible working hours: 36 or 48 hours per week – 3 or 4 shifts of 12 hours
- Availability of day or night shifts from 8am - 8pm/8pm - 8am, Monday to Sunday, with a requirement to work alternate weekends
Role Responsibilities:
- In your role as a Lead Care Support Specialist, you will mentor and collaborate with a team of Care Assistants to ensure that exemplary care is provided consistently.
- You will report directly to the Home Manager and work closely with ancillary teams, other Senior Care Assistants, and registered nurses within the facility.
- Engaging in meaningful activities with residents and promoting their independence, choice, dignity, and respect will be central to your role.
- Your participation in developing person-centered care plans and conducting risk assessments will be crucial for delivering outstanding care, with regular updates and reviews required.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Assistant, with an NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
- Previous experience in a nursing or care home setting or as a home care worker.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, particularly the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Knowledge and experience working with individuals with dementia is preferred.
- Prior experience in prompting/administering medication using an electronic e-MAR system is advantageous; however, comprehensive training and support will be provided.
