Excelcare Holdings is a family-run organization with over 34 years of experience in providing exceptional care to elderly individuals with diverse needs, including dementia, physical challenges, and mental health concerns. - Competitive Salary: £13.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
- Flexible hours: 36 or 48 hours per week – 3 or 4 shifts of 12 hours
- Availability of day or night shifts from 8am - 8pm/8pm - 8am, including alternate weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Lead Care Support Specialist, you will mentor and collaborate with a team of Care Assistants to ensure that exceptional care is consistently provided.
- You will report directly to the Home Manager and work closely with ancillary teams, other Senior Care Specialists, and registered nurses.
- Engaging in meaningful activities with residents while promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect will be a vital part of your role.
- Your participation in developing personalized care plans and conducting risk assessments will be essential for delivering outstanding care, with regular updates and reviews required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of two years' experience as a Care Assistant or Senior Care Specialist, holding an NVQ 2/3 qualification in Health and Social Care, or three years' experience without an NVQ.
- Experience in a nursing or care facility or as a home care provider.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards, particularly the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Knowledge and experience working with individuals affected by dementia is advantageous.
- Previous experience with medication administration using an electronic e-MAR system is preferred; comprehensive training will be provided.
