Position Overview
The Technician will be a key player in the UK Power Networks Services team, specifically within the Airports division. This role involves reporting directly to the Lead Operational Engineer and encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems.
Compensation Package
In this position, you will receive a competitive salary along with additional benefits including an outer London allowance, a company vehicle, and a performance-related bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the construction and maintenance of electrical assets ranging from 33kV to 433V.
- Collaborate with the Operational Engineer to meet project timelines and financial targets.
- Conduct testing on protection systems and devices.
- Manage the upkeep of control and protection systems.
- Maintain accurate records of all operational activities and safety documentation.
- Participate in fault investigations and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
- A clear criminal record and the ability to obtain necessary security passes.
- A full driver's license and a commitment to safety training.
- Experience working with high and low voltage systems.
- Willingness to work in confined spaces and undertake additional training as required.
