Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician

FM Conway is seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Aggregate and Asphalt division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency across our asphalt plants, while assisting in the implementation and execution of our maintenance plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the engineering department in designing and implementing electrical compliance checks and maintenance procedures.
  • Undertake installation work and fault-finding tasks to remedy breakdown situations, and assist in operational duties for the asphalt plant.
  • Contribute to implementing and maintaining a maintenance management system and policies, including updating technical details, job guidelines, method statements, risk assessments, documents, drawings, and project lists.
  • Participate in engineering projects, feasibility studies, technical specifications, planning, installation, execution, commissioning, handover, and operation stages as required.
  • Operate and care for various equipment and vehicles to assist in safe execution of tasks, including forklift trucks and cherry pickers.
  • Shut down any part of the plant if there is a risk to people, environment, or machinery.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 award in electrical engineering.
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance and installation skills, along with in-depth knowledge of control circuits, control wiring, and panel building.
  • A full UK driving license and a flexible approach to travel to our sites across the Southeast.
