About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Aggregate and Asphalt division. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency across our Asphalt plants. You will assist in implementing and executing the maintenance plan, undertake tasks to improve plant reliability, operable status, and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the engineering department in designing and implementing electrical compliance checks and maintenance procedures.
- Undertake installation work and fault-finding tasks to remedy breakdown situations.
- Contribute to implementing and maintaining a maintenance management system and policies.
- Participate in engineering projects, feasibility studies, technical specification, planning, installation, execution, commissioning, handover, and operation stages.
- Operate and care for various equipment/vehicles to assist in safe execution of tasks.
- Shut down any part of the plant if there is a risk to people, environment, or machinery.
Requirements
We are looking for a professional and approachable Maintenance Electrician who has ideally worked within the asphalt and aggregate industry. Travel to our sites across the Southeast will be required, so it's essential that the successful individual has a full UK driving license and a flexible approach.
We require someone who has already achieved their Level 3 award in electrical engineering. You will have experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance and installation skills, along with in-depth knowledge of control circuits, control wiring, and panel building.
