About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our Aggregate and Asphalt division at FM Conway.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency across our Asphalt plants. You will assist in implementing and executing the maintenance plan, improving plant reliability, operable status, and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the engineering department in designing and implementing electrical compliance checks and maintenance procedures.
  • Undertake installation work and fault-finding tasks to remedy breakdown situations, assisting in operational duties for the asphalt plant.
  • Contribute to implementing and maintaining a maintenance management system and policies, including updating technical detail, job guidelines, method statements, risk assessments, documents, drawings, and projects list.
  • Participate in engineering projects, feasibility studies, technical specification, planning, installation, execution, commissioning, handover, and operation stages as required.
  • Operate and care for various equipment/vehicles to assist in safe execution of tasks, including forklift trucks and cherry pickers.
  • Shut down any part of the plant if there is a risk to people, environment, or machinery.
Requirements

We are looking for a professional and approachable Maintenance Electrician with ideally worked within the asphalt and aggregate industry. Travel to our sites across the Southeast will be required, so it's essential that the successful individual has a full UK driving license and a flexible approach.

We require someone who has already achieved their Level 3 award in electrical engineering. You will have experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance and installation skills, along with in-depth knowledge of control circuits, control wiring, and panel building.
