About the Role:

Optimise by Recruitment is in search of a seasoned and proactive Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead our sales initiatives within the fuel services industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering business expansion by pinpointing new prospects, cultivating existing client partnerships, and finalising agreements that resonate with our corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Expansion: Discover, target, and secure fresh business prospects in the fuel services domain, encompassing stored fuel management, emergency fuel deliveries, spill response, and ancillary services.
  • Client Engagement: Establish and sustain robust, long-lasting relationships with clients, comprehending their requirements and delivering customised fuel service solutions that align with their operational needs.
  • Sales Planning: Formulate and execute strategic sales initiatives that correspond with company objectives, ensuring steady growth in revenue and market presence.
  • Market Research: Perform comprehensive market analysis to uncover trends, competitor movements, and potential avenues for growth.
  • Proposal Crafting: Develop and deliver persuasive proposals and presentations to prospective clients, clearly articulating the benefits of our services and how they cater to the client's unique requirements.
  • Negotiation and Finalisation: Lead discussions with potential clients, securing lucrative contracts and ensuring successful deal closures.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal departments, including operations, marketing, and customer service, to guarantee seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, performance metrics, and market insights to senior leadership, aiding in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior sales team members, sharing industry insights and best practices to elevate overall team performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in business development or sales, preferably within a service-oriented sector.
  • Outstanding negotiation, communication, and presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to forge and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Strategic mindset with the capability to identify and leverage market opportunities.
  • Self-driven with a results-oriented approach and a high degree of initiative.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
