Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Community Matron to join our Clinical and Professional Development Team within the Directorate of Mental Health. As a Community Matron, you will play a key role in improving standards of care for people with mental health difficulties and their carers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, responsive, safe, and effective care.

The successful candidate will be an experienced qualified professional with a clinical background of working and leading in a mental health setting. You will need to demonstrate passion, be highly motivated, resilient with excellent communication skills.

The post holder will be part of the on-call rota for out-of-hours for the Directorate and will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care is provided, monitoring achievements of standards, and supporting staff to deliver care with respect and compassion.

About the Role

As a Community Matron, you will provide expert clinical advice and leadership for staff and promote strong links between primary, secondary, and third sector services in order to effectively manage the needs of people the services work with.

You will work closely with operational team leads and Deputy Heads of Nursing to enable the development of high-quality clinical practice. You will be part of a supportive, innovative management and leadership team, helping us to transform our mental health services as part of our Step up to Great Mental Health transformation agenda.
