About the Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting students and teachers within a dynamic learning environment. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and foster a positive and stimulating classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver educational activities tailored to individual student needs, small groups, and the whole class.
  • Implement creative and interactive learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles and promote active participation.
  • Provide individualized support to students requiring additional assistance, addressing their academic, behavioral, or social-emotional needs.
  • Monitor student progress, collect data, and communicate findings to teachers, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of each student's development.
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration, respect, and a love of learning.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
  • A strong understanding of child development principles and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all students.
