Role Overview: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational development of students. Under the guidance of the classroom teacher, you will be responsible for designing, preparing, and executing engaging learning activities tailored to individual students, small groups, or the entire class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and document student progress, ensuring effective communication with the classroom teacher.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, as you will be expected to participate in staff meetings and collaborate with parents and other professionals.
  • Utilize creativity to develop stimulating and educational activities, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Enhance the classroom environment by creating vibrant, subject-specific displays that foster student engagement.
  • Provide specialized support to students facing learning, behavioral, communication, social, sensory, or physical challenges.
  • Serve as a positive role model, inspiring students to excel in their educational journey.

Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and have a solid understanding of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behavior Management, Teaching and Learning, and Equal Opportunities policies. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for success in this role. A Child Workforce DBS check is required, which can be arranged during the recruitment process.
