Kitchen Porter

Join our team at The Bucket of Blood as a Kitchen Porter and play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Pay meticulous attention to detail, using the appropriate amount of washing up liquid and water to conserve resources and maintain efficiency.
- Monitor offstage areas to prevent wastage and ensure proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to assist in food preparation and other tasks as needed.
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying areas for improvement and taking proactive steps to address them.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and disposal of waste and cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a supportive team environment.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, as well as maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies.
- Follow instructions from kitchen management and senior staff members to ensure smooth operations.
- Requirements:

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Initiative to identify and address issues independently as they arise.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as required.

**Job Type**: Temp to perm

Pay: £7.35-£11.11 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
