Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Hayle

Employment Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 3.15pm

Role Overview: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the classroom teacher to design, prepare, and implement engaging learning experiences for students. Your responsibilities will include working with individual students, small groups, and occasionally the entire class. You will be tasked with evaluating and documenting student progress, which requires excellent communication skills to effectively relay information to the teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver stimulating educational activities.
  • Support the creation of a vibrant and interactive classroom environment.
  • Assist in developing subject-specific displays to enhance learning.
  • Provide specialized support for students with diverse needs, including learning, behavioral, and physical challenges.
  • Act as a positive role model, inspiring students in their educational journey.

Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of one year of experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and have a solid understanding of Child Protection, Health and Safety, and Equal Opportunities policies. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for success in this role. A Child Workforce DBS check is necessary and can be arranged during the recruitment process.
