Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to individuals and their families, helping with household tasks, personal care, and paperwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical support for individuals and their families, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Assist with household tasks, such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Offer personal care, including help with hygiene, dressing, and mobility, to ensure the physical and emotional well-being of individuals under your care.
  • Assist with paperwork, such as filling out forms and managing appointments, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Work closely with other professionals to provide comprehensive care, ensuring a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals under your care, adhering to safeguarding and child protection policies.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Residential Support Worker or in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of care and support principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with individuals, families, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Compassionate and caring nature, with a strong commitment to promoting the well-being and dignity of individuals under your care.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies, with a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals.
