Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Community Paediatric team as a Neurodevelopmental Nurse Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people aged 0-18 years, assessing and managing neurodevelopmental conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

As a key member of our team, you will work autonomously in outpatient settings, providing evidence-based advice and treatment to children and their families. Your commitment to an integrated approach, centred around the child and family, will be essential in delivering high-quality care.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Assess and manage neurodevelopmental conditions, including ADHD and ASD, in accordance with established pathways.
  2. Work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to develop and implement individualised care plans.
  3. Provide education and support to families, promoting their understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and the importance of early intervention.
  4. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring best practice in community paediatric care.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a license to practice, evidenced by NMC registration.
  • Knowledge of child development and experience in child mental health.
  • Non-medical Prescriber qualification.
