About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Homecare Team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Homecare Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality pharmacy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Specialist Homecare Pharmacist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing pharmacy homecare services and clinical pharmacy services in accordance with Trust procedures and priorities set by the Advanced Level Pharmacist-Homecare.
  • Applying all appropriate clinical and governance arrangements as set out in the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) standards and recommendations in the Hackett Report for Homecare services.
  • Working with the multidisciplinary team to review existing and develop new homecare service programmes and specifications.
  • Identifying and managing risks in relation to medicines use according to policy/protocol.

Person Specification

We are looking for a pharmacist with:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Completion of Foundation stage 1 of PG General Practice Pharmacy.
  • Demonstrable knowledge gained through broad spectrum of clinical pharmacy training and experience.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

We would also welcome applications from pharmacists with:

  • Postgraduate diploma in General Practice Pharmacy.
  • Training and accreditation as a Practice Supervisor or Educational Supervisor.
  • Registration with GPhC as an Independent Prescriber.
