Job Summary:

Perrys Vauxhall Canterbury is a well-established car dealership group seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to acquire suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its proper use.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Investigate and report on accidents or incidents, identifying root causes and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide safety documentation and ensure compliance with external safety audit requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of safety within the organization, promoting a proactive approach to risk management.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to create and maintain safety documentation.
