Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at Perrys. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for our employees, customers, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute health and safety duties to departments, visitors, and contractors.
  • Work with our internal Procurement team to source appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure PPE is allocated to employees and worn in designated areas by all employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to identify potential hazards.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents and recommend solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Report on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
  • Provide safety documentation for customers and complete external safety audit requests to meet legal requirements.
  • Undertake any other duties to support the needs of the business.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a health and safety position.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a wide variety of contacts.
  • Computer literacy - Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
