We are working in partnership with a well-established facilities and maintenance business to find an experienced Materials Administrator to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Materials Manager in managing day-to-day deliveries and collections of materials and equipment hire to ensure timely receipt and collection.
- Organize and schedule delivery drivers' time and activities to optimize efficiency.
- Monitor materials/equipment & van stock orders to identify potential issues and resolve them promptly.
- Effectively allocate stock to meet business needs.
- Escalate issues/queries to the line manager/supervisor for timely resolution.
- Support the Materials Store person with administrative duties, including compliance and safety checks.
- Assist with the administration of the vehicle tracking system.
- Previous experience in an admin-focused or coordination role.
- Professional and courteous telephone manner.
- Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills in MS Office and job management systems.
- Self-management and self-motivation skills, with a desire to solve problems and eliminate waste.
- Flexibility in working hours to support service delivery.
- Reliability and dependability.
- Proactive approach to identifying development needs and overcoming them.
- Desirable experience in supply chain, logistics, stock management, materials, or scheduling.
