Materials Administrator

We are working in partnership with a well-established facilities and maintenance business to find an experienced Materials Administrator to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Materials Manager in managing day-to-day deliveries and collections of materials and equipment hire to ensure timely receipt and collection.
  • Organize and schedule delivery drivers' time and activities to optimize efficiency.
  • Monitor materials/equipment & van stock orders to identify potential issues and resolve them promptly.
  • Effectively allocate stock to meet business needs.
  • Escalate issues/queries to the line manager/supervisor for timely resolution.
  • Support the Materials Store person with administrative duties, including compliance and safety checks.
  • Assist with the administration of the vehicle tracking system.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an admin-focused or coordination role.
  • Professional and courteous telephone manner.
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills in MS Office and job management systems.
  • Self-management and self-motivation skills, with a desire to solve problems and eliminate waste.
  • Flexibility in working hours to support service delivery.
  • Reliability and dependability.
  • Proactive approach to identifying development needs and overcoming them.
  • Desirable experience in supply chain, logistics, stock management, materials, or scheduling.
