**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Laing O'Rourke. As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and stakeholders.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety matters to operational teams and management.
  • Conduct regular audits and assurance activities to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies and procedures to mitigate risks and promote a positive health and safety culture.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify and address health and safety concerns and provide coaching and training to improve health and safety knowledge and skills.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

**Requirements**

  • Qualification at level 4 (minimum) in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
  • Technical knowledge in occupational health risk management and wellbeing, safety risk management, and coaching/training.
  • Assurance/audit/investigation competence and membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and respect with operational teams and management.
