Job Description

Job Title: Strategic Delivery Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Delivery Manager to join our Global Commercial Services Technology (GCST) department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the prioritization, build, delivery, and launch process of the Nipendo Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile Events: Facilitate Agile events that help engineer teams deliver value incrementally and iteratively.
  • Monitor Scrum Team Velocity: Monitor Scrum team velocity and delivery of program OKRs through the use of relevant program and team-level metrics.
  • Support Product Teams: Support product teams through backlog refinement, backlog readiness, definition of ready/done, and support writing user stories.
  • Supervise Scrum Teams: Supervise 2 Scrum teams' capacity and user story refinement processes and interact with engineers to monitor and match capacity against wider program objectives.
  • Track Iteration Progress: Track iteration progress, issue resolution, and removing obstacles to ensure sprint/iteration commitments are met, escalate to leadership as necessary.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with SDLC methodology.
  • Raise and Track Impediments: Raise, track, and support resolutions of impediments, manage risk, and promote improvement throughout Technology.

How You Will Do It:

  • Support Planning: Support in planning, arbitrating, communicating, organizing, and executing on the platform's goals.
  • Support a Learning Culture: Supports a learning culture to drive continuous improvements and standardization.
  • Respectfully Challenge the Status Quo: Respectfully and purposefully challenge the status quo.
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Ensure data integrity for the teams within the Agile Management tools and compliance with SDLC audits.
  • Collaborate to Resolve Conflicts: Use process expertise to identify and collaborate to resolve conflicts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development methods is preferred.
  • SDLC Methodologies: SDLC Methodologies & Practice.
  • Agile PM Tools: Agile PM tools (Rally, JIRA).
