Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Career Teachers. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the educational journey of a student with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 support to a student with SEN, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet their individual needs.
  • Assist in implementing personalized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting the student's social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and report on the student's progress.
  • Support the student in developing independence and confidence within the school setting.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the student's education.
Requirements:
  • Patience: Essential for dealing with challenges and allowing students the time they need to learn and grow.
  • Empathy: Crucial for understanding the student's perspective and providing tailored support.
