Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnership SEN schools in South Manchester.

The school caters for children aged 19-25 with a variety of complex and severe learning needs, including Autism, Physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.

In this role, you will support the class teacher in delivering creative and engaging lessons, work with children on a 1:1 and small group basis, and help them reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have patience, enthusiasm, and good knowledge of safeguarding practices, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in lesson delivery
  • Work with children on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assess children's learning and development
  • Support in the assessment of children's learning and development
Requirements
  • Patience and a calm personality

  • Good knowledge of safeguarding practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
