Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a school located in Woodley, Stockport. This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent after a qualifying period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support for students with SEN, including those with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Learning Difficulties (LD), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Work closely with the classroom teacher to adapt lesson plans and create a positive learning environment for all students.
  • Assist in managing and encouraging positive behaviour within the classroom and during outdoor activities.
  • Use your Level 3 qualification and prior classroom experience to help deliver targeted educational support.
  • Engage with students both in 1:1 and small group settings, fostering their personal, emotional, and academic growth.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in SEN or a related field.
  • Strong classroom experience and a passion for supporting students with SEN.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
