SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in South Manchester. As a key member of the education team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex additional needs and helping them achieve their learning goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and creative activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in creating a safe and fun learning space that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Encourage expected behavior and serve as a role model for students.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in an education or care setting (desirable).
  • A calm and patient demeanor, with excellent communication skills.
  • Personal care, moving and handling, and BSL experience (desirable).
  • Sensitivity and understanding in working with students with diverse needs.
