About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at one of our partnership SEN Schools in South Manchester. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs, including Autism, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Sensory Impairments, Physical Disabilities, and Down Syndrome.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher in delivering creative and engaging lessons and sensory activities
  • Provide individualized support to children on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Engage with children to help them reach their full potential
  • Assist in the assessment of children's learning and development to update EHCP plans
Requirements
  • Patience and a calm personality
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a school or care setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full time availability within school hours (8:30-3:30/4:00pm)
  • Child and Adult DBS checks (can be applied for through Teaching Personnel)
