SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in South Manchester. As a key member of the education team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex additional needs and helping them achieve their learning goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and creative activities that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the development of students' social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in an education or care setting (desirable).
  • A calm and patient demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Sensitivity and understanding when working with students with complex needs.
