Role Overview:

We are currently exploring potential openings for qualified professionals in the plumbing sector. While specific working hours and details are yet to be finalized, we invite interested candidates to express their interest. Are you a motivated and professional individual with a strong interest in plumbing and vocational education? This role as a Plumbing Apprenticeship Trainer and Assessor involves delivering high-quality training and evaluating employees to ensure they meet national standards, collaborating closely with key employers in the construction industry.

If you have extensive industry experience, practical plumbing skills, and a passion for teaching and assessment, this position is tailored for you. You will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing apprenticeship programs, ensuring a top-notch learning environment, and working in partnership with the Programme Area Lead and Head of Department. Flexibility and a proactive mindset are essential, as regional work at employer sites may be required.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven individual with outstanding communication abilities, capable of delivering and assessing up to Level 3 while staying informed about industry developments. An appropriate assessor qualification is preferred, along with a commitment to our core values: Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, High Expectations, and Responsibility.

Contract Details:

This position operates during term time only, with compensation based on hours worked. Payment is directly correlated with the time dedicated to job responsibilities. Holiday and time off are not compensated.

Payments are made monthly, one month in arrears, via PAYE, with applicable tax and National Insurance deductions. Statutory holiday is accrued for every hour worked, and holiday pay is included in the regular monthly salary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A1/V1 Assessor/verifier award is mandatory
  • Ability to inspire and engage learners, with a strong passion for education
  • Organized with effective time management skills
  • A*-C in Maths and English
  • IT proficiency is advantageous
  • Relevant qualification in plumbing, minimum Level 3
  • Teaching qualification is desirable
