Role Responsibilities
In your capacity as a Senior Manager within the Public Sector Audit Team, your responsibilities will include:
Managing a substantial portfolio of audit clients Addressing complex technical issues and overseeing client engagements Prioritizing client deliverables while fostering a culture of quality Leading and mentoring your team to achieve excellence and inclusivity Cultivating strong relationships with clients and team members Seizing opportunities for broader departmental responsibilities through training and project proposals Continuously striving for personal and organizational growth, supported at every stage Exemplifying the values we uphold and encouraging your team to do the same Qualifications
To be considered for the Senior Manager position, you will need a professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, or CIPFA) along with relevant post-qualification experience. Confidence in managing a large portfolio of public sector audit clients is essential. While the following skills are desirable, we are committed to your development:
Experience managing audits for public sector organizations and addressing complex technical matters In-depth knowledge of the CIPFA Code and Department of Health Group Accounting Manual Proficiency in project management Familiarity with IFRS Extensive experience with audit software and Microsoft applications Beyond the Role
