We are seeking an experienced Public Sector Audit Manager to join our team at Grant Thornton (UK). As a key member of our Public Sector Audit team, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of audit clients and providing expert guidance on complex technical matters.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a large portfolio of audit clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables and excellent client relationships.
- Develop and implement audit strategies, leveraging your expertise in public sector audit and technical matters.
- Manage and mentor a team of auditors, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration and trust.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.
- Professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, or CIPFA) with post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record of managing audits of public sector bodies, with expertise in complex technical matters.
- Excellent knowledge of the CIPFA Code and Department of Health Group Accounting Manual.
- Project management experience, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Extensive experience with audit software and Microsoft packages.
