We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager to join our Public Sector Audit Quality team at Grant Thornton UK LLP. As a key member of our team, you will play a central role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services to our public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical guidance and support to auditors on complex matters, ensuring the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our audit teams, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Act as a key point of contact for our regions on quality matters, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the development of guidance and advice for our teams, ensuring that our audit practices are aligned with the latest industry standards and best practices.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA) with post-qualification experience, and a proven track record of managing large portfolios of public sector audit clients. You will also need to have excellent knowledge of the CIPFA Code and Department of Health Group Accounting Manual, as well as experience of managing audits of public sector bodies and dealing with complex technical matters.
