Role Summary: The Executive Lounge Training Supervisor will report to both the General Manager and Senior Regional Training Officer, playing a pivotal role in supporting the local lounge team by overseeing the training function. This includes conducting classroom-based theory inductions for new hires and facilitating practical training in the lounge environment. As a senior leader within the lounge, you will ensure that each team member meets and exceeds guest expectations by adhering to our training, safety, and hygiene protocols. Collaborating with the Lounge Regional Training structure, you will guarantee compliance with all mandatory and regulatory training requirements, ensuring that records are thoroughly auditable.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver both classroom and on-the-job training in alignment with global and local standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop both new and existing employees, providing constructive feedback to enhance performance and behavior.
- Lead by example, serving as a role model for staff and addressing poor performance and misconduct promptly.
- Induct new employees into the organization.
- Continuously assess employee performance to ensure competence and confidence in their specific roles.
- Ensure adherence to company standards and policies.
- Maintain compliance within your lounge, ensuring recurrent training is current.
- Regularly communicate with the Senior Regional Training Officer to address training needs within your lounge.
- Update the training database to reflect compliance accurately.
- Assist with coverage for team leaders and other related roster needs as necessary.
- Provide daily professional leadership to the lounge team, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, quality, customer service, and security are upheld.
- Proactively support operations to maximize effectiveness, including championing service, dietary, and allergen information.
- Take personal responsibility to ensure that the team consistently delivers high-quality service, minimizing health and safety incidents.
- Engage in effective communication and collaboration to motivate others.
- Ability to communicate clearly to help staff understand the company's strategy and objectives.
- Capable of building positive and trusting relationships.
- Foster a culture of ideas to empower teams to maintain agility.
- Encourage flexibility and adaptability to facilitate contingency planning.
