Job Summary

The Executive Lounge Training Team Leader plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and customer service within the Swissport lounge network. Reporting jointly to the General Manager and Senior Regional Training Officer, this position is responsible for executing the lounge training function, from classroom-based theory induction to upskilling and practical trainings in the live lounge environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of lounge staff.
  • Coach and mentor employees to improve performance and behavior, ensuring they meet the company's standards and policies.
  • Lead by example, acting as a role model to staff and addressing poor performance and misconduct when necessary.
  • Induct new employees into the business, ensuring a smooth transition and effective onboarding process.
  • Evaluate employee performance, assessing staff competence and confidence in carrying out their duties.
  • Maintain compliance with company standards and policies, ensuring recurrent training is up-to-date.
  • Communicate regularly with the SRTO to discuss training needs and update the Swissport training database.
  • Provide professional leadership to the lounge team, ensuring health and safety, quality, customer service, and security standards are met.

  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks to meet business needs.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills to develop and motivate team members.
  • Fluent spoken and written English (additional languages beneficial).
