Compensation Accountant

This role is part of the Payroll team, responsible for accounting and reporting of compensation components within the EMEA Finance team at TP ICAP.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the monthly end-to-end Compensation journal process, including accounting for monthly payroll, taxes, and benefits, as well as various types of bonus accruals.
- Assist business partners in reviewing compensation accruals and action relevant accounting bookings.
- Ensure all processes are fully documented and reviewed.
- Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations and ensure reconciliation of all balances back to relevant calculations and records.
- Provide analysis to support cash flow forecasting projections.
- Support the preparation of annual Budgets and Forecasts for P&L and BS.
- Assist in the delivery of the annual statutory accounts for the Group and EMEA controlled entities.
- Embed an effective risk and control framework to support our processes.
- Handle compensation-related queries during the year-end audit process.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with the EMEA Finance Team and other key stakeholders.
- Assist with monthly Payroll tasks, including uploading data to Payroll software and running monthly reports.
Essential:
- Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or Accounts Technician qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar environment.
- Experience in delivering new reporting requirements and process change.
- Experience with Oracle Financials and Workday preferred.
- Skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and IFRS.
- Knowledge of what a good control environment looks like.
