About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the clinical team and providing strategic direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the clinical team and provide strategic direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health services to children and young people.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of evidence-based practice.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
  • Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
  • Contribute to the development of the service's strategic plan and ensure alignment with the Trust's overall objectives.
About the Team

The Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of mental health services to children and young people, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. We are committed to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our service users and their families.

Requirements
  • Successful completion of a post-graduate training in psychological practice (psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist).
  • To be eligible for registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, BACP, UKCP, AFT, ACP).
  • Extensive experience of working with moderate to profound learning disabilities, disturbed or challenging children/young people requiring skilled and complex interventions.
  • Extensive experience of working therapeutically with parents/carers/families of children and young people with complex mental health problems.
