Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of all front-line electrical, control system, and instrumentation maintenance activities across all process, building, and site systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute maintenance activities in accordance with safe systems of work and ensure the protection of people, plant, and the environment.
- Ensure all work activities are executed safely and take responsibility for the safety of others.
- Maintain the facility using best industry practices in compliance with all relevant environmental, legal, license, and internal norms.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to deliver maintenance services within the facility, sharing best practices and expertise.
- Execute all preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities across the facility.
- Participate in planned and unplanned shutdown activities.
- Work with and support external maintenance service providers operating within the facility.
- Identify operational improvement projects that simplify, standardize, or improve the operability of the facility.
- Ensure projects are executed to a high standard and any as-built modifications are documented.
- Deliver services within an Integrated Management System (IMS) environment where maintenance activities are executed in accordance with environmental objectives and the maintenance working environment is a safe, healthy, and energizing place to deliver exceptional service.
- Attention to detail and doing things right, first time, every time.
- Be aware of the impact of maintenance activities on the operational budget for the facility.
- Always be on the lookout for alternative methods of executing work that make it safer, improve quality, and/or efficiency.
Requirements
- SVQ/HNC/HND with significant experience gained in a maintenance, construction, and/or engineering services environment.
- Proven maintenance experience within a complex operational environment (Power Generation, and Industrial Process).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Distributed Control System and PLC's would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with Low, Medium, and High Voltage switching and control equipment.
- Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience of complex integrated plant and equipment commonly found within continuous process industries such as: power generation, cement industry, and petrochemicals.
- Specific Furnace/Boiler and/or rotating equipment experience a distinct advantage.
