About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team at EMED Group. As a key member of our patient transport team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities, ensuring a high level of patient care and safety.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, providing support and care as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the ambulance, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective patient transport operations.
Requirements
  • Valid UK driving license and a good understanding of local roads and traffic patterns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Physical fitness to handle patient transfers and mobility assistance.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Enhanced DBS check and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
